Loosen Up

You can pretty much see how happy I am with this outfit

Oddness is Beauty

Shampoo model moment right there

The sun wasn't still up when Mom woke me up and I have to say that it's the earliest that I did. We brisk walked for maybe a kilometer and half then rode a taxi to Legazpi Sunday Market. It was worth visiting regularly, just be sure you have money on your bank account, haha. Some of the things on sale were costly because 1.The food is fresh and organic. 2. Most of the products were one of a kind.

I got clothes from the Sunday market, one of them is this harem pants, I instantly fell in love with it, it was one of those quite risky pieces. Obviously, I was excited to wear it, I wore it to church and when we watched The Avengers.

Necklace: stall in Market Market
Bag: Apostrophe
Tank top: Dorothy Perkins
Harem pants: Legazpi Sunday market
Gladiators: People are People

I just want to share this scripture that really made my faith stronger (this was part of this month's series, Know God's Will)- 1Corinthians 2:9 However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him."

Artsy Fartsy

Audrey Hepburn wall canvass

Chic small luggage

Fashion and arts book

Yesterday, my mom and siblings went out to buy groceries, I was left at home waiting for them and for tons of food. It was a surprise that when they got home, they have with them big boxes and heavy plastic bags. Mom told me to check those and I opened the box first, the small luggage inside made me squeak. When my little sister handed me the Audrey Hepburn canvass I was like "aghhhh!" 'cause I wanted a pop art canvass so bad which I saw weeks ago in the department store. Lastly are the books, it was so overwhelming! They're so weighty haha and with every page I turned my jaws dropped, it's just full of art, full of inspirations.
Realization with that experience, you get lots of interesting things when you don't go with your Mom and siblings in the grocery haha but next time I'll come so that I might get clothes, I'm really in need of minimalist and detailed clothes for the look posts haha :D

Below are scans from the lightest book, Fashion illustration. I didn't risk scanning pages from the other books 'cause the scanner might broke, I know you're not suppose to put a lot of weight on it haha. So enjoy these pictures!

Bianca in Wonderland

A breath-taking work of art in the fashion design part
Can't wait for this to be made!
Elegante (read with a Spanish accent)

I really really really admire the geometry present in that poncho-ish coat
Draping room.

Salvacion Lim Higgins thus Slim's
Spot the difference
This ensemble will be full of movements when this comes to life

I've been pleading to my mom to buy me a sewing machine but then I'm still clueless when it comes to sewing so she enrolled me in Slim's. I'm extremely happy and thankful for what my mom did, this kind of opportunity doesn't come often. I started the lessons yesterday, and a bodice sloper was accomplished, and I admit it, I was quite proud hehe and am so happy with my attitude towards it.

It was such a beautiful environment, complete with materials, good ventilation, approachable teachers, but most of all, I am surrounded by people who have talent and are as passionate to fashion as me, well some are more passionate hehe and wow the way they dress, it's just such an artsy environment.

4 months are consumed for the preparatory to be finished and obviously, I can't squeeze it to my summer vacation so I'll be going to Slim's everyday this vacation then every Saturday when school starts. Considering that I only started yesterday, there's still so much to learn and I can't wait for it! :)

I am the Walrus

The weather made me mad

The past few days were scorching, in fact, so scorching that it actually stings when the sunlight touches your skin but I guess it's a blessing, perfect time for beaching and tanning, and hey it could be worse, a wet summer haha. I opted for this The Beatles dress from Cubao expo, I love it so much, catchy print + sheer = a work of art.

Pretty granddaughter of the owner

Yesterday, my mom decided to go to Cubao expo so that our artistic side will be somehow nourished. I thought the whole thing was in a tent, full of interior designers/artists but the setting was the usual. Most of the stores were closed since yesterday was a holiday, there were some who had really nice stuffs, I kind of wished that I can break in then call the owner so she can attend to us haha. I wanted to see the clothes in K.A.R.M.A so bad, the designs inspired me. Though I didn't get to check every interesting store, we're still lucky, we went home with the old chest, the feet sculpture, the milk can, some bottles, a dress, and a shirt. I hope we can visit Cubao expo again. And btw, check it out, it feels like you're in a whimsical world :)
